We are reopening on Monday 8th June for all treatments!
Many practices have been holding on waiting for official guidance to arrive. However, we have been doing our own research and have been getting ready for this moment for months...
In the last week the official recommendations for returning to dentistry have been released. Fairly short notice and many practices are now scrambling to get the necessary equipment and tests into place. Many places are now out of stock with potentially months before new stock arrives in the country. We are pleased to report that our systems and stock not only meet, but greatly exceed all of the recommendations.
We are ready!
Over the last months we have been very busy:
- Sourcing, buying, testing all necessary PPE
- Arranging and taking delivery of the first woodpecker Q7 viral air purifiers in the country... one in each surgery. These exchange the air in each surgery every 2 minutes.
- UV (shown to kill virus) air purifiers in all rooms.
- Installing a new more powerful suction system with hepa filters.
- Installing a new more powerful Air compressor with clean air technology.
- All staff fit tested for respirator masks weeks ago.
- All staff tested for IgG antibody (we can arrange this for patients if wanted).
- All dental water lines are now filled with a virus killing solution.
- Plus a completely different set up to working with rooms being reassigned for different purposes.
What are the changes?
To ensure safety of all, the experience will be very different to what is normal:
- The waiting room should be outside in your car.
- You will be asked questions and temperature taken before entering the building.
- You will be asked to rinse out with an anti- viral mouthwash before treatment. (Apologies it does not taste very good)
- The staff will be wearing much much more ppe than you may used to.
- Plus quite a few other differences you may notice.
How do I make an appointment?
If you want a dental appointment, feel free to call 01920 460190 or email info@wcode.co.uk
We expect lines to be very busy so please be patient, we will get back to you.
Important note!
The new systems dictate that the practice door is locked and only patients with an appointment will be allowed in the building.
Please do not come to the surgery to make an appointment, this unfortunately is not currently possible. Please telephone or use email.
